What's new in 2.0 — Part 6
Part 6 of 2.0. These changes are part of version 2.0, which is installed fresh (see What's new in 2.0).
Companies in other currencies
- One currency per company. A Walmart Canada or Mexico store can be its own company in CAD or MXN; every figure inside a company is in its currency. A company in US dollars sees no change.
- A purchase order paid in another currency (for example a Canadian company buying from a US supplier) keeps the supplier's prices and the exchange rate; its costs enter your books already converted.
- Global view shows every company in one reporting currency (US dollars by default).
- Exchange rates are the European Central Bank's reference rates, fetched at most once a day and shown with their date on every screen that uses one. Without a network the last stored rate is used; with none at all, nothing is converted.
- Imports in the company's own currency are accepted; a file in any other currency is still refused.
Buying and renewing online
- A license bought online arrives by e-mail, and its renewals reach the app by themselves at its daily license check - nothing to copy or paste.
The AI assistant (Beta)
- An assistant answers questions about your figures, using only figures the app itself computed (it cannot change anything).
- Its main mode runs on this PC: an Admin chooses a model, which is downloaded and checked; nothing leaves your computer.
- It is off by default: an Admin turns it on after a screen that explains what it does.
- In 2.0 its card shows Coming soon until its model can be downloaded; it is not part of any plan until then (see Chapter 10).
Faster figures
- Stock counts per product are kept exact as every movement happens, so large companies open their reports and the Dashboard faster.
