In short (not part of the policy)
- Only cookies and similar tools needed to make things work, so no cookie banner; no analytics, advertising or tracking, on the Website too.
- The Software sets no cookies; its storage on your PC is not sent to us.
- The Reseller Portal has one sign-in cookie (at most 12 hours); Paddle's checkout has its own. Blocking them stops Portal sign-in and may stop buying.
- Before adding analytics, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires.
LivingRoom Cookie Policy Draft 2 of 2026-10-25 - not yet in effect
This Cookie Policy is published by Point of the Mountain Software LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), which makes and licenses LivingRoom, inventory and order management software for Microsoft Windows ("Software"). Capitalised terms are defined in our End User License Agreement ("EULA") and Privacy Policy.
1. About this policy
1.1 It covers our Website at https://livingroomlogistics.com, the Reseller Portal, the Software (with its phone pages) and our connection service (section 8).
1.2 It is a notice, not a contract, detailing Privacy Policy section 14.
1.3 Other websites, even ones we link to or the Software opens (such as Paddle's pages), and a Support Session's remote-access tool have their own cookie policies.
2. Terms
Strictly necessary means needed for something you asked for. Local and session storage are kept on your device by a browser engine (the Software has one) and, unlike cookies, are not sent to a server by themselves.
3. Our approach
3.1 We use only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies: no analytics, advertising or tracking tools on our Website, in the Reseller Portal or in the Software.
3.2 The Software sends no usage statistics, crash reports or telemetry (Privacy Policy section 4).
3.3 We do not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising (Privacy Policy section 9).
3.4 Automatic e-mails from our License Server and the Reseller Portal are plain text, without tracking pixels. [to be confirmed] Paddle's e-mails fall under Paddle's Privacy Policy (https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy).
4. The Website
[to be confirmed]
4.1 The Website is planned to use only (a) if we switch on bot protection at Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.), our host [to be confirmed], a security cookie for minutes to hours [to be confirmed], and (b) Paddle's checkout where you buy (section 6). Both are strictly necessary.
4.2 No other cookies, browser storage or embedded content that sets cookies. The New Business discount form posts to our License Server, which sets no cookies.
5. The Reseller Portal
5.1 The Portal sets one first-party, strictly necessary cookie, __Host-wep_session, once a Reseller signs in (with a
second factor) or completes our invitation. It expires 12 hours after sign-in; the session ends earlier after 30 idle
minutes or at sign-out (which deletes the cookie), and an ended session's cookie no longer works.
5.2 It holds only a random session code (we keep only its one-way hash; Privacy Policy sections 3 and 10), goes only encrypted and only to the Portal, never with requests from other websites, and page scripts cannot read it.
5.3 No other cookies or browser storage; the checkout loads Paddle's (section 6). If we switch on Cloudflare's bot protection for the Portal, a security cookie as in 4.1 may be set. [to be confirmed]
6. Paddle's checkout
6.1 Where you buy (the Website's buying pages [to be confirmed], the Portal's checkout), Paddle may set and read its own cookies and similar technologies and collect device and browser data, for example against fraud. [to be confirmed]
6.2 Paddle acts as an independent controller under Paddle's Privacy Policy (linked in section 3.4), here and on its own pages. We do not set, read or control its cookies, and get order details from it (Privacy Policy section 3), never card or bank details.
7. The Software
7.1 No cookies. The Software sets none and has no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
7.2 Local storage, in the Software's data folder for your Windows user on each PC, keeps: whether you are signed in, with your account details (such as name, e-mail and role; never the password), until sign-out, the sign-in ends or a restart; activity and window signals; your user name, only if you tick Remember username; your open and last-used Company File, preferences and notices seen; work in progress (break-even figures, unused after 24 hours; a restore marker, ignored after 6 hours).
7.3 Session storage, per window until it closes: why your last sign-in ended, banners you closed, list views.
7.4 It stays on your PC, part of your Installation, under your control and not sent to us, though some of it (such as the open Company File) travels with requests to the Software on the same PC or your office server PC. It holds no passwords, no License Key and not the sign-in itself, is not encrypted by the Software (EULA section 8.5) and stays after uninstalling, unless the uninstaller is run with its option to delete the app's data (EULA section 8.8; section 9.3).
7.5 Phone pages on your office network keep the sign-in only in the tab's session storage, deleted when the tab closes, and set no cookies.
7.6 Machine ID. The Machine ID sent in the License Check (Privacy Policy sections 3 and 5) is not kept in a browser and is used only for your License (including to stop misuse), not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
8. Coming Soon Features
8.1 Coming Soon Features do nothing and send nothing until switched on (Beta and AI Terms, section B). Then: (a) for Amazon's sign-in only, our connection service sets one strictly necessary cookie for at most 15 minutes, holding only a random value that links your return from Amazon to your sign-in, sent only encrypted to that service and unreadable by page scripts; (b) the phone companion's page sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser.
8.2 We will update this policy before either is switched on generally and, for a limited test with your agreement (Beta and AI Terms, section B5), tell you first what it sets.
9. Your choices
9.1 No cookie banner and no consent request, as all we use is strictly necessary for something you asked for. We sell only to businesses located in the United States, and this policy has no EU- or UK-specific terms.
9.2 Your browser can show, delete and block cookies. Blocking ours stops Portal sign-in, may stop Paddle's checkout and, for our host's security cookie, may make the Website ask whether you are a person or refuse a form. [to be confirmed]
9.3 The Software's storage cannot be switched off. Signing out removes the sign-in information and account details; unticking Remember username removes the user name; the rest stays until the data folder is deleted (EULA section 8.8). That folder also holds your Backups, the Software's own databases (users, settings, the list of Company Files), its encryption key file and your Company Files, except those created after an Admin chose another Data Folder. Delete it only to remove the Software's data from that PC, and only with a current Backup copied elsewhere (for example to the off-site copy folder an Admin can set).
9.4 On a phone, sign out or close the tab.
10. Do Not Track and similar signals
10.1 We do not track users of our Website, the Reseller Portal or the Software across other websites over time, or let third parties do so through them, so "Do Not Track" has nothing to switch off and changes nothing. The only third-party technology on our pages is Paddle's checkout, on buying pages (section 6). [to be confirmed]
10.2 Global Privacy Control and similar signals ask a site not to sell or share personal data. We do neither (section 3.3), so they change nothing; if that changes, we will update this policy first and honour them as the law requires. [to be confirmed]
11. If we add other cookies
11.1 At launch we use nothing that is not strictly necessary. Before adding anything else, such as analytics, we will (a) update this policy, naming each item's provider, purpose and duration; (b) where the law requires consent, ask first, set nothing until you agree and let you change your choice on every page; (c) update section 10 if browser signals are affected.
12. Changes to this policy
We publish changes on https://livingroomlogistics.com with a new version number and effective date, and tell active customers of a change that materially affects how we handle personal data as Privacy Policy section 18 describes.
